I'm a programmer, and this website is full of my programmer art! I go by cheriunderscore and TooManyChoices online, I prefer you stick with Cheri though.

Recently I redesigned this website for the third time. The following is a bunch of useless trivia while I try to get a blog up, and generally figure out the structure of this website.

Originally I wasn't writing with proper capitalization, but WOW. This page was utterly illegible before! Maybe my website isn't a discord message??

If you think something here looks off, using Firefox may fix it! I tested this page on Chromium, and for some reason, the colors were completely wrong!

This website is designed for wide screens first. Come back when you're on a desktop.

The icon next to a hyperlink means that it points to outside of this domain. I wouldn't link to something too sketchy, but you could think google.com is sketchy, so I'm trying to be helpful.

A long time ago I had a vision about red on purple looking good, and I've been trying to recreate it ever since. I shifted the goal to hot pink on purple which is more feasible. The header/background shown here is currently my best attempt at these colors.

I scribbled a crescent moon shape while messing with the design for this website and then I was like "what if I gave it cat ears" I notice that I keep making cats. Also I tried to make the image look like I tore it off to show you, but it has the same background color as this page, so it didn't exactly work.

I also doodled inline image of design , in a much earlier attempt at red on purple. You may notice that it's barely even purple! I must've been thinking of the clear history button in DuckDuckGo apps when it was squiggled.

Back when I was self-hosting Gitea, I made inline image of design as an icon for it. Then I switched to Forgejo, so I could no longer use the steamy liquid in cup sprite, and now that I've stopped self-hosting Forgejo I definitely can't use the steamy liquid in cup sprite, and so I present it here! I originally self-hosted Forgejo and Gitea because of ongoing work in making them federated, like Mastodon. However, the ongoing work is actually very slow, so I quit waiting, and I'm putting my stuff on Codeberg. A federated code forge still sounds like the best thing ever, but it's currently not in my top 3 priorities.

I tried turning the external indicator into an "earth" like inline image of design but the allotted space is too small to get the detail to do that, so I kept the arrow thing from earlier versions of this website. Speaking of, an earlier version of this website had a page featuring this thing:

this guy appeared when you tried to "quit" the webgl build of one of my old jam submissions!
The page was supposed to have creatures from many of my projects, but all the other files blew up. R.I.P ShopkeeperShopkeeper.

This website uses FreeBSD! I was originally running NixOS, but that was a total headache. FreeBSD is also a total headache so far.
It is ran on an incredibly dated Ideapad, which was my main computer back when I still made YouTube videos, hence the quality of those YouTube videos ;-; I made one video for YouTube on this computer, and a year or some after that I deleted the channel because I don't like YouTube! The previous version of this page had an animated background rendered using a program I wrote for the background of that last YouTube video, I forgot about it for a while.
Unlike the laptop, I use Gentoo Linux on my pc. I've tried many other linux distros, but none of them are as nice to me as Gentoo. I need a Gentoo web badge..

Using low resolution sprites for this website is actually kind of annoying! HTML is meant to scale and fit to any kind of screen, I think this is why modern UI is how it is. Pixel art was invented when systems ran either Mario or DOS, so the screens that you would see a sprite on did not vary much at all. I think I got it down though, just make sure your browser is up to date. If you zoom in/out you'll distort my poor sprites, so keep that in mind :(

I don't know what else to put on this page because stating anything I like means I have to change this page super often lol. Wait for the blog! There'll be more capitalization there!
